Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man. —Psalm 66:4-6 (ESV)
In reading Genesis 44-46, we see how God takes action to fulfill His long standing promise of making nations.
We also see Jacob forgiving the past actions of his family,
Why is it God gives promises and then reminds us of them so often? I think it’s because has people we:
- Don’t believe they are worthy.
- When the result isn’t immediate, we forget the promise.
- We are blind to the big picture, so unless we’re reminded, we don’t see how the small pieces lead us to the final promise.
Maybe it’s simply because God doesn’t make junk.
Maybe it’s simply because He loves mankind.
Maybe it’s simply because He loves you.
