Jan 16 – Forgiveness

“But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid.
Am I in the place of God?
You intended to harm me,
but God intended it for good
to accomplish what is now being done,
the saving of many lives.
So then, don’t be afraid.
I will provide for you and your children.”
And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.”                         –Genesis 50:19-21 (NIV)

What a lesson there is for us.  Once we have forgiven someone, we’re not to forget it, but we are to move on.

Are there people that have wronged you and you’ve told them you’ve forgiven them, yet you don’t let it go.  You don’t move on.  Is it possible that the words of forgiveness have been spoken but the not the actual act?  Have you given it up to God?

Prayer–Lord, We all need healing.  We all live in different states of pain, ache and desire.  We all need to see not just what’s been done to us, but what we’ve done to others.  Father, open our eyes that we may see, our hearts that we may feel compassion, our courage so we will ask for and give forgiveness

After a time of rest, it's time to resurrect this blog with a light on prayer and building our own personal prayer garden. A woman of faith, I want to share my personal insights into God and the Gospel in the hopes that these touch another heart, encouraging them to come to Christ.
