Feb 29 – Honesty

Do not have two differing weights in your bag
-one heavy, one light.
Do not have two differing measures in your house
-one large, one small.
You must have accurate and honest weights
and measures, so that you may live long
in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
For the LORD your God detests anyone
who does these things, anyone who deals dishonestly.                  –Deuteronomy 25:13-16

Weights & measures, such concrete things.  If something weighs a pound, charge the person for a pound.  If it weighs less, do not charge them for a whole pound.  Be Honest.

One scary things about honesty is that before you can be honest with a person, you have to first be honest with yourself.  As a Christian, before you can be honest with God about admitting your shortcomings, your sins, first you have to admit them to yourself.  Go to your secret place and be honest with God about your fears, hopes, dreams, sins, desires, needs, everything. Be rewarded with the peace that only He can give!

Father, help us to lead honest lives with you and with ourselves.

After a time of rest, it's time to resurrect this blog with a light on prayer and building our own personal prayer garden. A woman of faith, I want to share my personal insights into God and the Gospel in the hopes that these touch another heart, encouraging them to come to Christ.
